Coolidge tapped Cox as his working mate for governor in 1918, and Cox served two a single-calendar year terms as lieutenant governor. During these years he grew to be politically linked to Calvin Coolidge, who was Senate President and Lieutenant Governor. He refused, and invested the remainder o
